The dancers of Inbal Dance Company move along paths of heritage and renewal under the guidance of choreographer and creator Stav Struz Boutrous, who brings together the Yemeni roots of Inbal Dance Company with the folklore traditions of the Caucasus and Eastern Europe, drawn from her own body of work.

These two paths converge into a single, rich theatrical language that embraces all of its participants. Partisania begins with a journey toward the traditions of Georgian and Polish folklore - their movement vocabulary and structures, their music, and their distinctive visual richness. The work draws inspiration from the 2018 film Cold War by the Polish - Jewish director Paweł Pawlikowski, which follows the story of Mazowsze, the Polish Song and Dance Ensemble, in the aftermath of the Second World War.

In Partisania, the dancers move through disintegrating group formations as they search for new, imagined structures, as though they were partisans fighting for their freedom in the forests. They seek a shared anchor, timing, form, touch - a value through which they can rebuild. They dismantle and reconstruct the space in order to keep moving forward; they abandon and are abandoned, struggle, and at the same time merge into a unison that clears the way toward their next destination. They dance with the memory of scarves and colors, up to the threshold between life and death, carrying a shared legacy of values, culture, and tradition that allows them to unite.
